WELCOME TO THE HOUSE OF ROSES
House of Roses is my creative world, built around three connected doors: Sound, Experience, and Art.
Sound is the invitation.
Experience is the gathering.
Art lives through my one-of-one wearable jackets and collector works under my
art house brand, Blaxicana Couture.
Together, these doors form a single, artist-led practice—integrating music,
experience and art into one unfolding world.

BLAXICANA COUTURE
Blaxicana Couture is the wearable art expression of the House of Roses. Rooted in identity
and cultural lineage, the name reflects the intersection of my family, expressed
through my one-of-one jackets and collector objects created as artifacts.
My practice includes two(2) works: collector works & the studio edition for the year.
COLLECTOR WORKS
Collector Works are the most elevated expressions of Blaxicana Couture.
These one-of-one pieces are created for serious collectors and cultural patrons, offered in
limited releases and positioned for long-term archival and provenance.
Each work stands as a singular artifact within the House of Roses.

Narrative Art Series: House of Roses
Harlem Rose is a contemporary body of one-of-one wearable art works created in response
to a cultural moment of recognition and creativity.
Inspired by the legacy of the Harlem Renaissance, the work responds to an atmosphere where
history, artistry, music, fashion, and authorship converge.
Harlem Rose exists as a limited series within the House of Roses narrative.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I build immersive worlds where sound, experience, and wearable art intersect.
As an artist and sound curator, I create one-of-one denim jackets as
collector works, using clothing as a canvas for cultural storytelling and identity.
Through House of Roses, my practice moves between music,
movement, and art—inviting audiences to not only see
the work, but feel and live within it.
About the Brand
Blaxicana Couture is a house of one-of-one collector jackets by artist Alece Plasencia—handmade in Los Angeles and finished with a signature silk lining of Chinese brocade and embroidered insignia. Every detail is intentional. From the cut of the denim to the placement of embellishment, each work is constructed as an expression of culture, identity, and artistry.
The Collectors
The artist has created one-of-one works for music artists, dancers, muralists, actors, art collectors, and cultural visionaries. Each collector becomes part of the House of Roses—acquiring not only a jacket, but a singular work that belongs to them alone.
The Exhibit
Blaxicana Couture works are presented through curated exhibitions and private showcases throughout the year, including Denim in the Desert, held annually each April on the eve of Coachella Weekend Two in Palm Springs, California. The work is also exhibited year-round at Imago Galleries in Palm Desert, where the artist has been represented since 2022.
