Artist Statement

My name is Alece Plasencia-Artist

Some artists paint. Some sculpt. I tell stories on denim.

I gather symbols, textures, fragments of memory, and pieces of culture and I let them

speak to each other. Roses, patches, thread, fabric, crystals, fringe,… they become

characters in a story, a chapter in my House of Roses book.

I build each piece slowly, by hand, letting intuition guide the composition. A whisper of a muse,

a shadow of music, a place I have traveled, a culture that I have experienced,

all become my inspiration.
Each piece becomes a singular artifact, a one-of-one relic that is timeless.

Every creation leaves my studio with:
a Certificate of Authenticity, numbered and with provenance.

A Blaxicana Couture jacket is exhibited as art and every piece is a personal chapter,

a story of a muse entrusted to its collector.

HOUSE OF ROSES

Each year inside the House, the artist selects a muse—
chosen for spirit, narrative, and cultural resonance.

The muse guides the vision.
The vision becomes the jacket.
The jacket becomes the artifact.

THE MUSE MODEL

The muse becomes the compass of the House of Roses — a living inspiration whose

artistry, presence, and cultural pulse guide the year’s narrative.

Through them, the jackets take shape like chapters in a book: shifting in tone, texture,

and symbolism as the story unfolds. Studio Editions emerge in intentional

intervals/chapters with each collector receiving a special gift once acquired.

Each work is crafted as a fine art piece, meant to be held, documented, and remembered.

Muse No. 1 will be revealed on January 18, 2026.

THE STORYBOOK

The year unfolds with a prologue and 4 chapters.

THE PROLOGUE — December 2025

A quiet opening.
A soft hint of the new year’s muse begins to appear—
through mood, texture, and suggestion.

This chapter sets the tone for the world the House will enter next.

CHAPTER I — THE REVEAL & CULTURAL MOMENT-January 18, 2026

The year begins with the unveiling of Muse No. 1.

The first Studio Edition jacket of the year becomes available
for a limited window, marking the official entry into
the muse’s story, aesthetic, and cultural frequency.

A new narrative begins here.

The muse moves through the world.

Appearances, performances, press, and public presence
shape the atmosphere around the jacket and deepen the meaning of the work.

This chapter reflects how the piece lives beyond the studio, in real time &

within culture during our signature event, Denim in the Desert

on April 16, 2026 in Palm Springs (RSVP/Invite Only).

CHAPTER II— THE HALO EFFECT - April 17, 2026

Interest grows.
Momentum expands.
New collectors discover the House through the energy surrounding the muse the

the buzz of the MET Gala

This chapter captures the wave of how a story on denim becomes desire,
and how desire becomes legacy.

INTERMISSION - THE SOFT SEASON - June 22, 2026

Summertime is the season of wellness, travel, reflection, and relaxation.

CHAPTER III — THE MUSE RETURNS TO THE RUNWAY - September 1, 2026

The season of global fashion.

A chapter inspired by the electricity of the runway, fashion weeks & Vogue World.
Here designers stand center stage and muses rise into visibility.

The House aligns with this spirit—
cinematic, bold, immersive—
offering collectors an opportunity to participate in the glamour

and drama of high-fashion season.

CHAPTER IV — LAST LOOKS - November 1, 2026

The final window for the Studio Edition jacket of the year.

A reflective closing chapter, honoring the muse, the work,
and the cultural arc that shaped the House throughout the year with a

closing celebration: Denim Above the City on December 12, 2026.

Before the next prologue begins in late December 2026, this is a moment to

honor the art the House takes one last look before the piece goes to

the vault and to auction houses.

The House of Roses, book one, chapter four closes

A new muse is whispered.

About the Brand

Blaxicana Couture is a house of one-of-one collector

jackets — handmade in Los Angeles and finished with

my signature silk lining and embroidered insignia. Every detail is intentional. From the cut of the denim to the placement of embellishments, each piece becomes a statement of culture, identity, and artistry.

My work is inspired by the vivid colors of travel, the rhythm of music, and the fusion of art forms that cross cultures. These jackets are meant not just to be worn, but to be experienced — sparking conversation, creating community, and leaving behind a legacy of self-expression.

The Collector's

I have had the honor of creating for music artists, dancers, muralists, actors, and cultural visionaries. Each client becomes part of my extended story, and in return, they carry with them a piece of art that is theirs alone.

Blaxicana Couture pieces are revealed only at exclusive showcases throughout the year, including my signature event every April during Weekend Two of the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Palm Springs. My work is also exhibited year-round at the prestigious Imago Galleries in Palm Desert, where I am proud to be recognized as a featured artist in wearable art.

An Invitation

Blaxicana Couture is not fast fashion. It is art — created with intention, offered in rarity, and cherished by those who understand that what they wear is a reflection

of who they are.

I invite you to step into this world, by attending one of my private Collectors Room showcases or attending my signature event, Denim in the Desert in Palm Springs in April 2026.
