Blaxicana Couture releases a limited body of work annually.

HARLEM ROSE Wearable art by Alece Plasencia
Narrative Art Series: House of Roses
Harlem Rose is a contemporary body of one-of-one wearable works created
in response to a cultural moment — a recognition of the artist's
chosen muse for 2026, Teyana Taylor, a multidimensional creative.
Inspired by the legacy of the Harlem Renaissance, the work responds to
an atmosphere where history, artistry, music, fashion, and authorship converge.
All muses serve as conceptual
inspiration only.
No likeness, name, or identity
is depicted or implied.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Alece Plasencia
Blaxicana Couture is the wearable art expression of the
House of Roses.
Rooted in identity and cultural lineage, the name
reflects the intersection
of my family — expressed through collector jackets
as cultural artifacts.
Each piece is a wearable sculpture.
Part garment, part artifact.
A material record of a moment in culture.
About the Brand
Blaxicana Couture is a house of one-of-one collector jackets by artist Alece Plasencia—handmade in Los Angeles and finished with a signature silk lining of Chinese brocade and embroidered insignia. Every detail is intentional. From the cut of the denim to the placement of embellishment, each work is constructed as an expression of culture, identity, and artistry.
The Collectors
The artist has created one-of-one works for music artists, dancers, muralists, actors, art collectors, and cultural visionaries. Each collector becomes part of the House of Roses—acquiring not only a jacket, but a singular work that belongs to them alone.
The Exhibit
Blaxicana Couture works are presented through curated exhibitions and private showcases throughout the year, including House of Roses: After Hours, The Desert Set, held annually each April on the eve of Coachella
Weekend Two in Palm Springs, California at the Ace Hotel.
The work is also exhibited year-round at Imago Galleries in Palm Desert, where the artist has been
represented since 2022.
